The best Green Chili Cheeseburger in town. Just add the New Mexico green chili to your burger or your fries and it takes it to a whole new level. Definitely won’t disappoint. The green chili is not spicy but very flavorful. Great job.
I belive the critics when they say "is the best burger in San Antonio. Fresh cut potato fries & fresh onion rings. I haven't tried their shakes but I'm certain they are delish!
We decided to dine out and settled on burgers. Chester's is a locally owned chain of burgers. They generally play 60s, 70s, and 80s music and will have a sports game on their large screen TVs. They also will run some beer specials. Their burgers come on a poppy seed bun, and the fries are fresh cut. There are several topping for the burger that the person taking your order will cover with you before sending it off to be cooked. By default, the burgers are cooked medium. We arrived, there was a short line, and after about a 5 minute wait, our order was taken. We ordered fries this time. Note: normally, we just order burgers. The food was ready within 15 minutes and was delicious. We had a good experience. The food and service were good too. I hope your experience is as good as ours.
UPDATE: I stayed at the Residence Inn next door to Chester's, which made it convenient to stop in for dinner. The bottom line is the burgers were solid similar to a backyard style but with a better poppyseed bun. I did really like the onion rings which were cooked perfectly. They also had a great beer selection to wash it all down. I returned to Chester's for dinner on a business trip and thought it was even better the second time! I had a bacon burger with jalapenos and it tasted great.
I had the chili Cheese burger my husband had the bacon burger both were equally as good then I added some of his very crispy bacon to my chili burger and it just elevated the experience. Definitely recommend. I would get a small sweet tea if you are a sweet tea drinker because I am and I did not like it. Just a suggestion
Love the atmosphere here. They play 50's music, have great burgers, fries and the onion rings where justike I like them, crispy! Free ice cream for my little one with her meal was a bonus.
It's hard to find a fish sandwich that's worth the price anymore. Fresh hot and delicious. 2x your average fish sandwich. Great humming atmosphere.
Food was great. Inside is dark but the food speaks for itself. Burgers are simple and they get the job done. Boss recommended to try Chester’s on my burger journey across San Antonio and I was not disappointed. Fries are a must they are so good. Better than the onion rings.
